This is a fine New England sharp shooter rifle with extraordinary craftmanship and design. The entire butt section is from a single piece of brass. Circa 1860 it features the under hammer design. The hammer acts as the trigger guard. It is about 44 calibre and has a false muzzle. Near mint bore. The butt is 4 1/2 inches deep. The barrel is 27 inches long. Total length is 44 inches.
