Extraordinary and rare pair of 18th century needlework on silk frames. Both are covered with glass in gilt over wood outer frames. Both currently contain old mirrors but were likely made for his and her miniature portraits measuring 2 1/2 inches x 3 1/4 inches. The frames thmselves meaasure 10 x 12 inches and 11 x 13 inches.
